Eric Mumford, the Rebecca and John Voyles Professor of Architecture, studies mid-20th Century architecture in Africa. He is researching how CIAM (International Congresses of Modern Architecture), a mostly European group that existed from 1928-56, engaged several African countries after World War II, including Morocco and Algeria.
