Theresa Spitznagle, a professor of physical therapy and of obstetrics and gynecology, is supporting physical therapy education at Mekelle University in Ethiopia. She is engaged in several projects improving health outcomes across Africa. Through her work with World Wide Fistula Fund, she is involved in projects in Niger and Uganda to help women recover from fistulas.
