Mengesha Teshome, MD


Dr. Mengesha Teshome is an instructor of neurology at Washington University School of Medicine. He facilitates connections between WashU medical trainees and Mekelle University faculty who are in a position to host, oversee visitor’s rotation, and collaborate on important medical research questions, such as exploring different approaches to find a breakthrough in diseases like Alzheimer.  He also works with other WashU faculty, like Dr. David Clifford, to identify supporting mechanisms to help Mekelle University faculty benefit from observing long established systems of teaching, administration, resource acquisition and management.



Goals & Impact

Support capacity building at Mekelle University’s Ayder Hospital and increase cross-cultural medical research collaboration for diseases like Alzheimer.
